Beginner’s One-Day Boot Camp at Fleur de Mahj

Curious about American Mah Jongg? Learn everything you need to get started in just one day at our immersive Beginner’s Boot Camp.

Your day begins at 10:00 AM with a friendly meet & greet. From there, we’ll explore the origins of the game before diving into the essentials—understanding the tiles and how they function in American Mah Jongg.

You’ll be introduced to the 2026 National Mah Jongg League card and guided through interactive exercises to help you read and use it effectively in gameplay.  All participants will receive one 2026 National Mah Jongg League card. 

After a lunch, which will be provided, we’ll move into one of the most important elements of the game: the Charleston. Then it’s time to play—participants will join Instructor-Guided Play sessions, gaining hands-on experience with expert support.

The afternoon includes a Q&A session to address any questions, followed by Open Play, where instructors remain available for guidance as you build confidence.

The day wraps up at 4:00 PM.

Whether you’re completely new or looking to strengthen your fundamentals, this supportive and social experience is the perfect way to learn American Mah Jongg.

Boot Camp Refund Policy:

Cancellations made before Saturday May 2 are eligible for a 50% refund of the registration fee. 

Cancellations made on or after Saturday May 2 are non-refundable.
